here. NEBHDCo’s Golden Harvest Food Pantry is located at 376 Throop Avenue, between Lafayette Avenue and Kosciuszko Street. A New York City Emergency Feeding partner agency since 1993, in June of 2014 we opened our beautiful new supermarket-style client choice pantry facility. With a ground level shopping floor, the pantry also has a second floor demonstration kitchen, classroom and three-station benefits center. Within six months of opening the new pantry, we more than doubled the number of families served. We continue to register new families at a rate of 20-30 per pantry shift – serving a still growing need.

Our food funders include Food Bank for New York City, United Way/Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program/HPNAP, City Harvest, The Emergency Food Assistance Program/TEFAP, HRA Emergency Food Assistance Program/EFAP, United Way/Just Food Local Produce Link, and New York Cares. With the support of the funders above, as well as additional support from NY City Council, Council Member Robert E. Cornegy and Council Member Alicka Ampry-Samuel, we are increasing our capacity to reach more community residents in need.
